Mrs. Kulhanek was one of the nicest people I've ever known, and I was very sad to hear of her passing. I remember that if any of us (John's friends) happened to stop by the Kulhaneks' place to visit John on a Saturday morning, his Mom would insist that we stay for breakfast. That was the kind of person she was, and that is how she will be remembered. She is in a better place now.

Birdie was my very special friend.  We met when our husbands were stationed at Ranger station in St. Regis, Montana.  Our children were small and we lived there for about seven years.  We have always kept in touch.
Birdie was such a caring and loving person, always there to help anyone she could, I will miss her very much, but know she is in a better place where there will be no more pain and suffering.

Mary and family,

Birdie was a wonderful soul.  I am honored to have known her and have very fond memories of her.  Spending time with her was always a "joy."  She made her daughter you and I feel like all our "comical recordings, etc. were really important...she alwasys encouraged us to create and  was great fun!! Her positive spirit was truly a gift that she shared with all!!  I am certain Birdie is in the arms of her guardian angels and now watching over her family and dear friends.  All my love to you - Julie
