I was Dottie's daughter-inlaw for 21 years. In that time she was an inspiration to me. There has not been another woman that I have met like her. There was nothing she couldn't do or wouldn't do. I learned that you just do what you have to do in life. I am thankful that I had an opportunity in this life to have known her. God Bless her and all her loved ones. May the peace of Christ be with you all.

Love
Diana Jensen

Hi all your cousins!  So sorry to lose Aunt Dottie and not be able to give you all hugs and closeup love.  FYI I am Elsie's daughter and Mom is here with me.  I love you all.  I guess my biggest influence from Aunt Dottie was that you are never too old to help family when I saw her come to VA from ID to build a roof on Uncle Elmer's trailer.  There was not much the Greene four couldn't do or fix when they saw a need to do it.  A great legacy.  I will miss her and Uncle Fenton always.

I remember your mother with fondness.  The video was very nice.  Looks like a wonderful happy family.  Sorry I do not know many of you.  I am Mary Flavia and Kenneth Hugh Jordan's oldest daughter.  God be with you.

I am a neighbor of Patricia Wright, daughter of Dottie Kimball.  I only knew Dottie for a very brief time while she and Fenton were staying with Pat and George toward the end of their lives.

Dottie was such a lovely Christian woman.  She always seemed to have a smile on her face.  Perhaps the words that best describe Dottie in my mind is the song "The joy of the Lord is my strength."  Another is Psalm 28:7, "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.  My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song."  Dottie was a joyous and strong woman.  I was priviledged to meet her.

May God bless the entire family of Dottie Kimball, granting you His peace in the knowledge that she is with Him in glory.

My Aunt Dottie was the best...she stood for me at my wedding in place of my own mom who had already passed away and she helped my daddy with everything he needed until the day he passed away. If she wasn't climbing up on the roof to repair a shingle she was collecting pecans or apples for for a pie...she was such a trooper, always full of energy and life and laughter. She is greatly loved and greatly missed.

I first met Grandma (Dottie) in VA when she walked up my Dads drive way. She grabed me and said " I'm your Grandmother" and gave me a big hug. It took me a minute to realize this seemingly crazy woman was telling the truth. She looked just like my mother! She was always kind and loving to me and my family. I will never forget how loving her and Fenton were to each other. What a pair! Like some of you have already said, she was always smiling and happy. And could fix any thing! I pray that I am more like Dottie and Fenton. Always knowing friends, never an enimy. When my family and I lived in Mathews, I met some of you there. I will always be proud to say "I am Dottie's Granddaughter". She is greatly missed by me and my family. What a LADY!! I look forward to meeting the rest of you, my door is always open to family and friends.

Love and prayers to you all,
Cheri, Peter, and Taylor Massarelli

Dorothy was my birth mother but was unable to raise me because she had to go out west to have her third child.  Then the war was going on, and she couldn't afford to come pick me up.  I was adopted by my babysitter. When I went to Germany to mary my husband, we were talking about my birth family and my desire to find my parents.  My husband said, "Well if you want to find them, lets pray about it."  We did and my mom called me in Germany the next day. God answers prayer, sometimes very fast.  I loved my family I grew up with.  They were wonderful; but all of them except one brother have now passed away.  My father died when I was 18 and my brother,Bob who was the closest to me has been like a father to me ever since.  Now the Lord has blessed me with a new father, mother, 7 brothers and 6 sisters.  It has been such a blessing knowing Mother, Fenton, all my brothers and sisters in Mother's family and my two brothers and sister in Dad's family, and Dad and Ruth.
Mother and Fenton were a real joy, and a real witness of God's love.  They sure loved each other and were such a joy together and so willing to give of their talents and their time.  They could both sure make you laugh and enjoy life.  What a blessing getting to know all of you.  God Bless You!
