Irene was my a part of my life before I was born,as she and Dema, my dear
mother, were the best of friends. I am honored to have Irene as my middle name,
and always considered her like a god-mother to me. She WAS Coeur d Alene to me,
and it seemed like we spent many summer wknds traveling to see Carl and Irene,
swimming at Sanders Beach and sharing lots of laughs and great food.
Cassie Ann, Tom, and family: Your Mom was a beautiful, loving, fun friend, whom I
will miss very much. I look forward to the day I see her tanned smiling face in
Heaven.
Love you all,
Jewel

Dear Cassie and Tom,
I have been thinking of your Mom since Jewel emailed me a few days ago. I have
the best of memories of coming to your house, and picnics, and Sanders Beach,
and the 4th of July parades. I loved your Mom's smile, her laughter, and
beautiful spirit. She was always fun to be around. Our parents were the best of
friends, sharing mnay happy times. Our sympathies to you and all of your family.
She will be missed by all. I will be thinking of you in the days ahead. Love,

I'm so sorry about Irene. However, I know that she is in a better
place. She is probably already got a foursome for a bridge game. We
that are left here are the ones that are mourning. Irene was such a good
friend to my Mom and our whole family. She was like an aunt to me.
It was so nice to see her at church when I came to CdA. She always had a
big hug and smile. Then she would invite Mom and me down to her place for
one of her Famous Pies. When her family and our family lived down
close to the lake, I remember how much she loved living in that neighborhood and
being able to swim every day in the summer. I have many fond memories of Irene
and will cherish them in my heart.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Both Mary and myself were so saddened to hear about Irene. We live down the hall
and left her on Feb 10th for Maui. She gave us a big hug and said hurry back, I
will be waiting for you. What a wonderful First Class Lady. We will return home
after the middle of the month. We are sorry that we will miss her service. She
will always be in our hearts and prayers.

Dear Cassie Ann, Tom, and family,
Now all of our parents are in heaven together, dancing and laughing. I
have such fun memories of all the happy times our families shared growing up.
I remember sledding down "Irene's Hill" all day and then coming into
your house for her fabulous chili. I remember the summer days when she
& Mom would gather us all up for the walk to Sanders' Beach. We'd
spend the morning swimming, then head home for lunch & naps, then head back
to the beach for the afternoon swim! What wonderful, carefree days those
were! Irene's specialties were her chili, her pies, and her homemade jams
--- we were the happy recipients of all of them. She had that beautiful
smile with the twinkle in her eyes and she always had a hug & a kiss for
everyone. I will miss her, and I send you my sincerest sympathies.
Much love, Jill

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and Archie at this difficlut time.
Irene will be deepy missed. She was a wonderful, caring person. Visiting Coeur

I have many memories of Irene and our families getting together. I remember as a
little girl going to Carl and Irene's house to sled on the steep roads near by
in the Sanders Beach area. We always had hot chocolate when we came in.
Irene used to cut my hair and many times the hair cuts were short! Mom
(Mabel) and Irene would get to talking while Irene cut my hair and the more they
talked the shorter she cut my hair. Lots of chili feeds and many dance parties
and who could forget all the bridge parties. Great times, great memories!
God bless all of you, Cassie. and Tom at this time of your great loss. Irene was
one of my mom's best friends and very special to me also. Perhaps, as they
all meet again in heaven, they will be rolling up the rugs, putting on the 78's
and dancing up a storm. Lynda (Hilgren) Murray

Tom, Cassie Ann, Archie,
Our history goes back such a long, long way. I loved your mom (didn't
everybody?) like my own and enjoyed every moment I every spent with her.
From lefse to lemon meringue, she was such an amazing addition to our
lives! I think she was, truly, the most "ALIVE" person I have
ever known . . . always optimistic, fit, and such a beauty -- inside and
out! I will never forget her -- or you. Bless you all today, tomorrow and
always.
Love you guys so much!

I was constantly at Irene and Carl's house beginning when Cassie Ann was about
11 months old. Being 12 years old and loving children so much, I couldn't
get enough of Cassie Ann. I doted on her--fixing her hair, feeding her,
taking her for walks. When Tommy arrived, my happiness was doubled.
I was at the Iverson home a lot and would do anything for her. Irene had a
great attitude toward life and there were a lot of good times. She treated
me like an adult and trusted me with her babies. It was a wonderful part
of my life.
