Ryan Michael (Lott) Powell

Funeral services for Ryan were Monday, May 31, 2004 at Real Life Ministries, 1866 N. Cecil Rd., Post Falls, ID.

Ryan Michael (Lott) Powell, 15, Post Falls, died May 26, 2004, in Coeur d'Alene.

Born Aug. 8, 1988, in Placerville, Calif., to Cheryl Sturgis and Phil Lott, Ryan moved to Post Falls in 1989. At the time of his death, he was attending Post Falls High School, where he was an outstanding wrestler.

Ryan enjoyed motorcycles, horses and taking care of his cows and other animals.

He is survived by his parents Phil and Cheryl Lott of Post Falls; sisters Crystal and Melissa, Post Falls; grandparents Milton and Judy Lott, Austin, Nev.; and Rose Sturgis, Post Falls.

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather Ken Sturgis Sr. and uncle Mark Lott.

Contributions may be made to the Ryan Powell Memorial Fund at Bank of America in Post Falls.

Ryan, we've been friends since the fourth grade. I was new, and you were one of the first friends I'd had in Post Falls. I remember all the "coodie" days at recess, and basketball, and playing on the "hill". And as we grew up, school took it's hold, and I haven't had a year where we weren't together and teaming up on projects and classroom games. You lightened so many hearts in dark and bitter corners, shared your mind with those that were in need, and put a smile on those faces with a frown. I love you Ryan and I always will. I hope one day you'll be there to open the gate for me with that smile I'll never forget. May god be with you and your family, I can only miss you until we meet again. So I pray we will.

Ryan Powell has to be one of the coolest people I have ever met. The kid was an absolutely awesome person. He was always making jokes, teasing people, and laughing. I have so many memories with him and I will never ever forget him. I loved the kid. My deepest condolences to his family as well as all of us- his friends.

I'm sorry for ryans death. He was a loved person and a nice and comedic person. I knew him maybe not well but good enough. He will be mised greatly by friends and family. R.I.P Ryan Powell me love you and you will always be in our hearts for ever.

You were such a kind person and loving friend. I miss seeing you in class and passing you in the halls, but I know you are still with us and watching over all the people you left behind. wow.... what to say?? Ryan was a great kid and i don't remember ever seeing him with out a smile on his face. He was always laughing. wow i finally got on the computer to sign this. losing ryan was a really big tragedy to the neighbors that still live around here. Ryan and his family lived on the street right behind me, the family was the sweetest. there is nobody i know that hates or even disliked ryan. he was so kind and i still dont understand why this had to happen to him. back when he lived by me ryan, kelly hall and i were walking my gerbal around the block (we were really young) ryan was on his bike and kelly was holding my gerbal, the gerbal jumped off kelly and ryan ran it over he felt so bad that he wanted to buy me a new one we all loved him tons. your family is the best and i really miss your company!
