I met Duke when I worked at Fred Meyer in Coeur d'Alene. He was working as a demo person at our store. He was so friendly that we became friends. He was always so willing to help our customers even though that was not part of his job and they all loved it. My co-worker and best friend Amy Hagen always had the best things to say about him. Her last comment about him was, Do you think he met Elvis yet? So Duke...how about it? Have you met Elvis yet?   Our love and prayers to his family and to Duke we all say, in the imortal words of Elvis," Thank you..thank you very much....."

I went to St Paul's Grammer school with Wayne. Last year my wife and I visited Wayne and Marleta in Post Falls. There could not be a better host and hostess than Wayne and Marleta. They showed us around the area which included a float plane ride over Lake Coeur D'Alene. The Duke was one special person. I am proud to call him my friend. He had a huge heart and was a very generous person. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Marleta.

I remember Wayne Clark as a pre schooler. He lived across the street from the HANNAN's and was a friend to my brothers. Wayne and Gene went to school together, served as altar boys and were childhood friends.
In recent years they kept in touch by email as Gene moved to Thailand.
Wayne just celebrated his 16th birthday(leap year baby) this year!!
