Helen was next to the oldest in our family. Our oldest brother Boyd died in 1947. Our Mother died in 1981, Dad in 1996. Helen was the oldest of 6 girls, I was the baby girl and we also have 2 brothers, Merle Jones of Post Falls and Tom Jones in Minnesota. Sisters: Harriet and Dorothy, Minnesota, Joynce Discherin Flordia, Audrey Kelley Kansas and me, Betty Peters of Coeur d'Alene. My Sis was the most giving person that I have known, she loved all her children so much. She loved to sew and made hundreds of small quilts for children and put love in each and every one. She so enjoyed working at the Senior Center in Hayden. She will be missed by so many people that she touched in her life. She is now with her husband in their heavenly home.  God Bless you Sis, I will miss you!  Betty, your baby Sister.

To Her Family and Dear Friends

I did not know her by Helen, just by "Billy."  I became acquainted through a mutual friend and she was the best "sewing/alteration" expert.  But what energy and what a joyful personality--consitently/always.  Never heard her complain or say "why me."  She dealt with her challenges with faith and dignity.  She was such a role model in so many ways. How many people in today's world would buy their select beef to take home and make fresh hamburger--Billy did.  She had such awesome cookbooks and just loved talking about cooking and good food.  A zest for life and the people she liked, loved and wanted to help.  She also had that feisty side to her--that meant be careful.  I gathered that she upheld strong principles and values.  If you crossed those lines, beware--but I never went there.  I maintained a fun and very likeable friendship with her.  I adore the zestful, feisty full of life people that God graces us with--and Billy was one.  I treasure the time with her, the friendship and her service of expert sewing and alterations.  Also, I so respected her untiring service for good causes and friends in need.  Her obtituary did not nearly cover the broad spectrum of things she did.

Billy will always remain close to my heart--as I have a lot of cute remembrances.  I can't count the times she sent me home with a sample of her dinner and always so tasty.  That darling little lady encompassed such a passion for life and I shall hold to much of that and pass it on like she did.

Thanks  Billy for the person you were and the legacy you leave with each one of us.  Rest in Peace Dear One.  We miss you.

Jeannette Fay

Wendi,

I was very sad to read of your moms passing.  She was such a lovely person.  It is never easy to lose anyone, epecially your parents.  I guess you always feel they will last forever, they do but only in memories.
Jim and I want to let you know that we are thinking of you.
Our prayers are with you and your family.

I am very sorry to learn about the death of Helen Schroepfer.  This must have been a difficult time for all.  Therefore, I'm forwarding scripture that will comfort you.  Psalm 90:10 says that the usual human life span is 70 or 80 years.  This was true when Moses wrote it but not so from the beginning.  (compare Genesis 5:3-32.)  Hebrew 9:27 says...It is reserved for men to die once for all time.  This, too, was true when it was written but not the case before God passed judgement on sinful Adam.

Billie was a wonderful friend to all who were fortunate to meet her. Always a smile to welcome you and a hug to send you on your way. I met Billie while woking with her at the old Newberrys store. We always looked forward to our parties as she would always bring the best dishes to share, she sure was a great cook and would always welcome you to stay for a meal. Billie had a heart of gold when it came to helping anyone who asked. Our sincere sympathy to her family, she will surely be missed by many. A big hug to you Billie,to send you on your way.

I will sure miss Billie. She had some of the best jokes I have ever heard. She would bring in some of the email jokes that tickled her the most. Before giving the paper we would have to make copies so that she could "hit the next bank" to share with them too. She was such a fighter. I am so glad she shared a little of her life with me. I loved seeing her come into the bank when I was having a bad day because I knew I would be smiling when she left. God bless you Billie ... I will miss you a lot. Love you.
