We will always remember France's beautiful singing voice and all her years leading the music in Relief Society and other meetings.  She was a delight to be around.  It was very obvious how much she loved her husband and family.  We will truly miss her.  Our hopes and wishes are that her family will be comforted at this time and grateful for her loving example to all who came in contact with her.

I loved hearing Frances sing anytime!  She is a classy lady. She always spoke kindly and complimentary to others who shared their music, too.  I loved seeing J.Ray and Frances perform together.  A picture of that is a picture of true love. My heart goes out to all of the family and friends who are missing this sweet ladies presence. She gave so much to so many.  I know my family was touched by the musical service and testimonies of Christ from both Frances and J.Ray

My earliest memory of Sister Cox was when she taught the Primary age children how to sing "I Am A Child of God" and "Teach Me to Walk in the Light."  I fondly still think of her whenever I sing these songs today.    She was so creative and full of enthusiasm and love for all children.  She also attempted to instill the love of musical instruments by teaching us a song (the name forgotten) which used the different musical sounds of the specific instruments to sing a song.  It became a favorite!

I was saddened to hear of Sister Cox's passing. She was one of the most gracious ladies I have ever known. What a blessing she was to everyone who knew her. When my son Parley was a teenager he did yard work for her in the summer, she called him her "Little YardMan". He loved going there. She was always so kind to him. Thank you Sister Cox for just being you, and I look forward to the day when I will once again be privileged to hear your beautiful voice. God Bless your family at this time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.  I have many great memories of Frances and the closeness your family had to mine.  I can imagine that Frances and Mom are 'kicking up' their heals in heaven.  Again, our condolences to the family.

 J. Ray, Jeff, Kathy, Steve, Claudia and Norma (and extended families),

I was deeply saddened to learn of Frances' passing.  I have so many wonderful memories with you, J. Ray, and Frances when we were together, both in J.Ray's law office and on the campaign trail.

I can close my eyes and see J. Ray at the piano with Frances singing "Baby its Cold Outside".  What talent!  It puts a smile on my face just thinking about them.

Frances taught me how to spell her name correctly --- she said "think of me as an 'e'"; meaning that the female spelling of the name Frances was always with an "e".  It worked.  To this day I think of her little rhyme when I hear the name, Frances.

Frances gave me my wedding shower when Rod and I got married in 1974.  We enjoyed the quilt that she & J. Ray gave us it until it literally fell apart.

I loved being a part of the Cox family --- you are so very talented and J. Ray & Frances' love shines through you all.

We are at work in Alaska or we would be with you today.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Love,

Mary (O'Malley) & Rod Dougall

I remember Fran as always smiling, full of energy, and a fun person to be around.  She and J.Ray entertained at golf club functions many times and we could have listened to them all night.  She had a beautiful voice!! I also remember what a proud Grandmother she was. A beautiful person in every way.
Our condolences to you.

I was so sorry to hear of Sister Cox's passing. She was such a beautiful lady, always so gracious and kind. My son Parley worked for her as a teenager and she always referred to him as her "little yard man". He loved going there. Her beautiful voice will certainly be missed as we were all lifted up when she would sing. Thank you Sister Cox for blessing my life.

I had the fortune of living next door to Frances' parents, Fritz and Virginia Ericksen, on 7th street in Cd'A, while growing up.  I have fond memories of going to their house when J. Ray and Frances were living in the basement apartment and helping Frances feed her babies  the hot cereal, Wheathearts! Frances taught me how to get the cereal into their busy little mouths and we'd sing to them while doing it.  Then I'd have my bowl of Wheathearts too, along with Frances! Frances also gave me voice lessons, coming next door to my house where I lived with my parents; we'd sit at the piano and Frances would coach me.  She always made it fun.  Her beautiful smile and voice so went together, she was a delight to be with. I shall always smile when I think of the time we spent together during my growing up years.  My sincere condolences to her family upon her passing.
