I am the fisherman that was on the shore and tried to help....  Frank yelled for help but there wasn't anything I could do as he was too far out.  I was able to touch the hand of Glen for a brief second but it was pulling me in the river so I had to let go.
I am very sorry for your loss.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm truly SORRY!
Thomas Mayo

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone. "Uncle" Frank well not by blood but have known him and "Aunt" Diane, Terra, and Mike for many years. Some of my memories of him are his smile, laugh, down to earth who loved having people over and cooking bbq chicken, camping, football, and many wonderful good times. The lord took him way to soon but at least we all know he passed away doing something he loved which was enjoying good times camping and being in the water with his son and his friend. Sending my love to everyone.R.I.P Frank you will be truley missed and loved by all forever!
Missy

Frank, you will always be fondly remembered by all those who worked with you at Potlach in Post Falls.
With a smile on your face, you kept us all smiling.  You found the bright side when the blue cow plugged and the bag house needed maintenance, or a sander belt broke just before break...a joke was always on the tip of your tongue making and an ugly job became bearable.  You even proudly shared your family with us as your wife brought you a home cooked meal for dinner and your children came along.  Your keen eye for nature found a lost parakeet under a parked car on the hot August pavement one evening near the smoking bench. You must have thought I needed one, or maybe for a good laugh, let's watch Karen try to catch a bird...either way, the challenge was on.  With your help, an old granola bar in my pocket and a little luck, the little "Tweeter" came home from work with me that night.  You may not know just how many fun memories you made for so many people, Frank, but I for one, count myself fortunate to not only have worked along side you, but was privilaged to have met some special members of your family.  Thanks for the memories Frank.........we'll all look forward to more fun times and collective memories "on the other side".  Until then, just know you're missed.  Your friend and co-worker,
Karen Branson

Mike , Terra and Diane you know that Daryl and I love you guys very much. Frank was a huge part of our family for many years and I always remember his smile! We know how much he loved to fish and be on the water, if we had to lose him so soon, I'm glad he was doing what he loved. The service was very nice and it was wonderful to see so many people we have met through the years because of Frank and Diane. This was just one more time Frank brought us all together.
We Love You, and will be there for you.
Frank, until we meet again, Rest in Peace.
Love, Uncle Daryl and Aunt Debbie

My Uncle Frank never did like to have people show him to much sympathy.. We were so much alike. We always cleaned our BBQ chicken to the bone. Haha. He may have had his problems and I will always know that he needed his family around him to make him happy. He brought joy to those around him and made people care for others not just themselves. My Uncle Frank, my mom's Uncle Frank, everyone's Uncle Frank. I know that man tried to help him and he couldn't reach him. Glen to. I love you Uncle Frank I hope your happy where ever you are. I may not have the same beliefs as some people but I do believe your happy.
