Roberta Jane Vaughn, resident of Ivy Court in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away March 28, 2009. Roberta was born to Dr. Robert E. Vaughn, DO and Sina I. Roberta is survived by her sister, Suzanne (Vaughn) Jaggers of Winona Lake, IN. In 2001, Bert moved from Creve Coeur, MO to Coeur d’Alene, ID to be near her niece, Donna. I did not know Ms Vaughn, but I write because I know her father's name. He
was the attending doctor at my birth at Grim Smith Hospital, Kirksville,
Missouri, December 19, 1948, this from my parents and my birth certificate.
I have always known the name Dr. Vaughn but I could not know that his family
might still be represented. I am not likely to attend the memorial
service, I know Thousand Hills State Park well, but I send this greeting to her
friends and family. Perhaps Ms Vaughn attended many births herself.

I work as a CNA at Ivy Court. I cared for Bert. She was such an amazing person.
We always got to smile and laugh everyday Bert was there. I miss her telling me
she was my charge nurse and to make sure I filed all the papers she needed me
too. Through tears, laughter and pure stubborness Bert was and always will be
loved at Ivy Court.

I worked with Bert the entire time she lived at Ivy Court. I loved her
willingness to jump in and try to care for all the other residents. Even though
she wasnt a nurse anymore it was still in her. I miss her dearly and there will
never be another Bert.
