It is with great saddness and sense of loss in hearing about Mona's death.
She is dearly remembered by me as a co worker and friend at Lincoln
Savings in Spokane. Her sense of humor was so appreciated. Mona had
the ability to make everyone in her presense comfortable and welcomed. My
deepest sympathy to her boys. You have all my warmest thoughts and prayers
Sincerely, Sharon

I met RaeMona one summer here at her home on the river. I was invited to
play Mah-jongg. What a delightful time I had getting acquainted!
Many years went by, and it was a now and then Mah-jongg play..and she was always
a winner in the game!!

We were priviledged since 2000 to share time with RaeMona since we met her
through our dear friend Kenneth Engel when we wintered in Yuma, AZ. They
showed
us how to love life, thrive on each day we could enjoy
together, and rejoyce even when the medical news was not to our liking.
I thought fondly of Mrs. RaeMona on Saturday evening when the DJ played
"The Dance" by Garth Brooks. It was the essence of her life and
despite the pain and loss - without that she would have had to "miss"
the Dance!
As we all know her life presented many challenges and yet her fiesty spirit and
determination propelled her to accomplishments that few can attain!
God Bless Mrs. RaeMona and may we all reflect on the beauty of her life and her
legacy!
What a priviledge it was to caravan from Post Falls to
Broadus, MT last fall for Ken's 80th birthday. Those
special memories will be cheished forever!
God bless all RaeMona's family and friends, now and forever!

Richard, and Christopher,
It was with great saddness to hear of your Mother's passing. She was my mentor,
co-worker, roomie, and a fun loving friend, for many years while living in
Spokane. She had a cute sense of humor, a wonderful smile, and an
infectious laugh that just warmed the room. I will always cheerish and remember
her friendship that we had through the years.
My deepest sympathy to you two and your families. I love this saying which
represents your Mother, Mona. Good friends and family are like stars...you
don't always see them, but you know they are always there.

Sorry to learn about the death of RaeMona Schaefer. This must have been
a difficult time for all. Therefore, I am forwarding scripture that will
comfort you. Psalms 90:10 says that the usual human life span is 70 or
80 years. This was true when Moses wrote it but not so from the
beginning. (compare Genesis 5:3-32.) Hebrews 9:27 says...It is
reserved for men to die once for all time. This, too, was true when it
was written but not the case before God passed judgment on sinful Adam.
