I was truly blessed to have Steve Austin as a significant part of my life for over 15 years.   I can remember when I first met him, I was only 18 years old, and how blunt he was with his words, how he said everything he was thinking whether it was appropriate or not, and yet it was humorous and almost charming. This became one of the things I loved most about Steve.

As I got to know Steve we developed a close friendship and bond.  He always treated me as if I were his own daughter which is something that never changed no matter how distant my life had become.  I would fly home from Chicago and he would make sure to take me out to breakfast or lunch just to see how I was doing and let me know how important I still was to him.   Each time I would say goodbye to Steve he would always say "I love you kiddo" a phrase that I will never forget.   This man touched my life and I loved him dearly.

My deepest condolences and love for members of Steve's family.  I wish I could be there to say good-bye in person, and honor the man that meant so much to so many.  Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Lots of Love Always, Jennifer Freund Mistina

My condolences and prayers are with the family and all who knew and loved Uncle Steve.
My fond memory of Uncle Steve is how funny and happy he always seemed to be. He could always make people laugh and loved to kid around with his brothers. My dad Denzil, and Uncle Jack would laugh so hard along with Uncle Steve that it was impossible not to laugh too.
We had some great times at Austin barbecues playing football like the "Kennedys" and listening to the Austin brothers remimisce about growing up in PA. Uncle Steve would make my dad laugh so hard that I know his ribs hurt! I admired Uncle Steve for his sense of humor, his kindness, and his nice style of dressing. It might sound silly to some, but I always thought Uncle Steve was the "classy" Austin brother!
Rest In Peace Uncle Steve and if you don't mind please say hello to my sister Starr.

Sharyl, Mark, Kevin, Gail, & Grandchildren,

My love, sympathy and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I love you very much and please know that I am thinking of you.

I was truly blessed to have Steve as my brother and friend.
Steve was very loving, caring and was an inspiration throughout his life to his beloved Mother, his siblings and then later on in his life to his wife and three children.

He loved planning family vacations to Pa to visit loved ones and enjoyed to be near family even if it were just a picnic in his back-yard.

Steve set values and high standards for himself and because of this he was very successful in his Job Profession and himself as a person.

Steve was loved by all who new him and was there to give a helping hand if needed.
He was an inspiration to me when I was going through all my treatments of Chemotherapy.  He would tell me to keep my faith and to stay strong; his wisdom was very gratifying and gave me encouragement.

Steve was very strong in his faith in God. I always felt llike Steve was giving me strength through his love of the Lord.

Words can't express the love and devotion I had for Steve, my memories of him will live on forever in my heart.
He was my hero and I miss him dearly.

Love,
Roberta

Sharyl, Mark, Kevin, Gail and Granchildren,

My thoughts and Prayers are with you and may God bless you and be with you at this time of great sorrow.

I miss all my phone calls with Steve, which he had to keep reminding me of my financial position and he also would heavily discuss my relationship with God.  He truly was my rock for the past few years as I went through cancer and making the tough decision to move from my home of many years.

I respected Steve's wisdom and decisions he made for me financially once I was convinced this is what I needed to do.  I was grateful for all he had done for me. I referred to him a my financial advisor.

We had many good times together in our child-hood and throughout our adult life.  Our mom would call us little devils as we were always getting into mischief when we were children.
Our adult life together was always with our families having pincics and barbeques; Or just spending a Sunday afternoon watching foot-ball at Steve's, Jack or my home. Many happy days were spent with Steve through-out our life together.

I will miss him very much.
Love and Blessings to his family - Denny
