 I have known Blackie since the late 60's.  I believe he was the 1st person to befriend me on my first day at work in the Cell-Room/BunkerHill. Since that day, we have been friends and I cannot recall one time he has ever crossed my path without a big HELLO and a good story..I share your loss.... Brent

We will all miss Blackie's friendliness and  good  humor as  a friend and  good neighbor.   We  will not be able to attend the  Celebration of  his life, but  he will  be in our thoughts and  prayers.   Our thoughts and prayers are also with the  family   at this time of loss and sorrow.

Our Family has known Blackie since the early 70's. My father "Jim Eversole", was one of his very good friends. Hunting,fishing, telling jokes,and or lies, was some of the things they enjoyed. I can still hear Blackie calling my little brother "a dumb can of worms" always upbeat happy and giving someone a hard time all in fun. That is the Blackie we will always remember. cal,cass and the rest of the family; sorry to hear of blackies passing. I know hell be missed by all he was one of those type of guys that grew on you. Ive known blackie since my early teens when i used to hang with cal and cass and he was my boxing coach for many years i think merely for the enjoyment of watching me get pummeled on i remember one 15 second moment in a match that ill never forget because it was blackie trueblue. it was the end of the 1st round and i went back to the corner to find no chair just him leaning over the ropes with this irritated look and he says to me if you dont knock this guy out in this round i swear i will drag you back to pinehurst with a piece of barb wire wrapped around your %$@s and he turned away and gave me the thumbs up with that evil smile that said try me thats one moment of many ill never forget. rest in peace YOU OLD GOAT!

I to have known Blackie for over 30 yrs.Blackie taught me how to box. And countless other things.He was not only a GREAT GREAT! friend but more like a second father to me.I will take every thing he taught me,and pass it on to someone else to keep his memory alive.
