Barbara M. Brayman

July 11, 1932 ~ December 22, 2004

At the family's request, no services will be held.

Barbara M. Brayman, 72, died Dec. 22, 2004, at home in Coeur d'Alene.

A lifetime resident of Coeur d'Alene, Barbara was born at home in Coeur d'Alene on July 11, 1932, to Pearl (Erickson) and George J. Schneberger. She spent her early years in Coeur d'Alene and Rathdrum, where her parents ran the original Westwood Cafe. Barbara was a waitress and baker by trade.

Her father's contracting business hauled in the fill for Playland Pier, which is now Independence Point. Years ago, her father also planted all the poplar trees along Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive, which are enjoyed by so many people today.

Barbara was a loving, kind person, always giving of herself to help others. In her later years, she volunteered preparing meals at the Coeur d'Alene Senior Center. And she baked the famous huge cinnamon rolls at Pines Restaurant on Northwest Boulevard.

While her husband, John, was still alive, they enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping together up the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River. Barbara was an avid mushroom collector and also loved to collect antiques and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her sons, Clifford Singer of Coeur d'Alene, Raymond Singer and wife Brenda, Coeur d'Alene; sisters Mabel Becker, Livingston, Texas, Georgia Hattenberg, Coeur d'Alene; brother Pat Schneberger, Spokane; three granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents and husband John Brayman.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden ID 83835.
