On Sunday, December 29, 2019, Randall (Randy) Jeffrey Geuin, 60, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, after a year-long battle with metastatic melanoma.
Randy was born in Coeur d’Alene, ID on July 21, 1959 to Allan and Joy (Breshears) Geuin. He grew up in Dalton Gardens, attending Dalton Elementary, and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1977. After graduation, he worked for Idaho News Agency and Empire Steel. In April 1983, Randy was hired by Diamond International Saw Mill (later named DAW and Crown Pacific). Two days after starting at the mill, he purchased a ring and asked his girlfriend, Susan Bohman, to marry him at Cedars Floating Restaurant. They married in Moscow, ID on September 10, 1983. In 1986, they welcomed their first daughter, Katy Sue Geuin, and in 1990 welcomed their second daughter, Sarah Diane Geuin. Crown Pacific Saw Mill closed in 2001, so Randy decided to attend electrical school at age 43. He became a Journeyman Electrician in 2006, and remained a licensed Journeyman until his death.
Randy loved camping at Priest Lake, vacationing on the Oregon Coast, and playing golf. His most favorite times were simply spent in his back yard, barbecuing and playing corn-hole with his family. He liked to play, but he loved watching the kids play more. Randy was known for his quick wit and sense of humor, and he always had a joke or funny story to tell. He never missed a Seahawks game and has been a big fan since their beginning. Most importantly, you could count on Randy to help whenever it was needed.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Allan and Joy Geuin, In-laws Clyde and Betty Bohman, brother, Ron Geuin, in September 2019 and niece, Teena Frank, in October 2019.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sue Geuin, daughters Katy Geuin (Chris) and Sarah Geuin (Liz), Sisters Carol Thome (Cliff), Jan Berry (Bill), brother Bob Geuin (Chrissy), Sister-in-law Marlow Geuin, and close friend and caregiver Ed Newton.
