Alan Dale Turner passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on July 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He lived a life marked by quiet strength, humble service, unwavering faith, and a heart devoted to caring for others.

Born in Renton, Washington, to Beverly Ann and Dale LaVern Turner, Alan was the oldest of four children. From a young age, he was known as a loving and protective big brother, a character that remained with him throughout his life. He is survived by his sisters, Collette Steinbach and Colleen Davies. His younger brother, Michael Turner, preceded him in death in infancy.

Alan served honorably in the United States Navy from 1971 to 1975 aboard the USS Hancock as a Machinist's Mate in V-4 Fuel Division during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he continued serving others as a firefighter with the Wasco County Fire Department before beginning a 25-year career with Boeing, where he took great pride in helping build the Boeing 757 and 747 aircraft.

While stationed in California, Alan met the love of his life, Spring Joy Fanaro. They married in 1974 and built a loving marriage that spanned more than fifty years. Together they raised three children: Arthur Michael Turner, Peter Anthony Turner, and Violet Ann Marie Hurley. He was also blessed with three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Alan found joy in fishing, cooking, reading, Seattle Mariners baseball, Johnny Cash, John Wayne films, and time spent with those he loved. Though naturally quiet, he was known for his humility, compassion, steadfast work ethic, and servant's heart.

Whether serving his country, protecting his community, building airplanes, or providing faithfully for his family, Alan lived a life of integrity, faithfulness, and selfless love.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His family rejoices in the hope of Jesus Christ, finding comfort in the assurance that Alan is now home with the Lord. His legacy of faith, service, and quiet strength lives on in the family he loved and the lives he touched.
