Anne Marie Burg

Anne Marie Burg, 93, a long time resident of Post Falls, ID. Passed away on 06/25/2023. She was born in Darlington, WI. on 12/27/1929 Louis & Anna Jean, immigrants from Switzerland. She was the 7th child of 9. Anne spent her early years as a waitress in Darlington where she met & married Edward Burg, Sr. on 03/24/1948. They were married for 56 years before he passed. They were blessed with 5 children, 3 boys & 2 girls. 

Anne loved being a homemaker. She sewed, did needlework, cooked, and loved baking. Once her children were grown and married she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. During her spare time she enjoyed dancing, collecting & learning about the history of stamps, coins, postcards, and baseball cards from around the world. After moving to Post Falls she was very active in volunteering at the senior center. She was a member of the Auxiliary at the American Legion, VFW, DAV, and helped whenever she could. She was a member of the Post Falls Presbyterian Church and loved the Lord for her entire life. She was a kind, loving, generous member of life. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings, her husband, Edward, and her sons, Edward Jr, Allen, and James, along with 3 grandsons. 

She is survived by her 2 daughters. JoAnne Harner-Moore/ Mike of Meza, AZ. and Janice Young/ Robert of Spirit Lake, ID. 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, many foster grands & greats, nieces & nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at her home in Post Falls, ID. on 07/09/2023 between 1-3 P.M.

Anne was an amazing daughter, wife, mother, and friend to all. She will be missed but we hold on to the promise of John 3:16 where the Lord calls us home.
