Arthur Smith

Arthur Allen Smith, 85, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away at his home of natural causes on November 26, 2023. 

Arthur, better known to his family and friends as “Art” was born in Park Rapids Minnesota on October 26, 1938 to Margaret S Smith and Albert J Smith.

Living and working on the family farm, he was joined by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, preparing him for a lifetime occupation in farming.  Art came to Idaho with his family in 1960 and worked on many farms until settling in Post Falls in 1964 where he and his parents lived on property, he purchased from his Uncle Jim Smith.  Art was employed by Manning Schneidmiller Farms until he retired.  In retirement Art enjoyed working on and driving his vehicles, mowing his lawn, lunches at Post Falls Senior Center and spending time with family & friends.  Art loved to cook, making large pots of chili, baking cakes and carving watermelons were just part of his enjoyments in life.

Art is survived by his brother Leonard Smith, sister Donna Roberts, sister Sharon Hiatt and brother Wayne Smith, 3 nieces and 1 nephew.

Arthur chose cremation and his remains placed at Evergreen Cemetery, Mountain View niche.

Art was loved and will be missed by many.
