Beverly Larsen

Beverly “Bev” Larsen (Wilhelm) was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, neighbor, and friend. She passed away peacefully on November 18, 2021 at the age of 85 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Bev was born on March 22, 1936 in New England, North Dakota to Francis and Ethel Wilhelm. At a very young age, the family moved to Post Falls, Idaho where Bev would graduate from high school, marry, move to Washington and then to California with her husband, and have three sons: Michael, Greg, and Chris.

During her time in Washington and California, Bev worked as a secretary to the Dean at the University of Washington. She later obtained her pilot’s license and enjoyed flying prop planes.

Bev eventually decided to take some classes at Sacramento City College where she met her second husband, George Larsen. They would be married for 35 years before he passed away in January of 2017.

After marrying, Bev and George moved back to Northern Idaho together where they were able to spend quality time with family, especially with their grandkids, Ashlynn and Kassidy. During this time, Bev discovered her faith and attended church at Real Life Ministries. She cooked for the local food kitchen every week. Bev joined Peak Health and Wellness Center, where she looked forward to her morning yoga classes and made many close friends. Bev was a Gonzaga Bulldog basketball superfan, never missing a game. She was well known for her amazing cooking skills and everyone knew no one would be leaving her house hungry by any means.

Bev’s true love was helping other people and being a grandmother. She loved to cook, bake, sew, scrapbook, read, and spend time with her little dog Daisy Mae. Bev had a way of making every person she knew feel special. She had the biggest heart and a warmth about her that drew people to her. She will be greatly missed by many.

A special thanks to Joe and Alice Thibeault, Alice Senior, and Sherri Floyd for providing support and caring for Bev near the end of her life.

There are no plans for a public memorial service. The family held a small gathering to share memories and stories with one another, which is what Bev wanted.
