Beverly Jo Perry, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and beloved community member, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2024, in White Salmon, WA. Born on June 3, 1945, in Coeur d'Alene, ID, she was the daughter of Robert and Lillian Boughton.
Beverly married Michael Perry, on August 27, 1967, in Coeur d'Alene. Together, they crafted a life full of adventure and affection, raising two children and embracing a shared passion for travel and exploration.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Perry; her sister, Barbra Dennis; her children, Michelle Moore (spouse Hunter Moore) and Steve Perry; and her grandchildren, Savannah Moore and Sierra Moore. Beverly is also fondly remembered by nieces and nephews: Scott, Jeff, Gregg, Dana, Dian, Brock, Brandon, Brooke, Brynn, Jason, Wendy, Julie, Stacie, Mark, Adam, Mandy, and her lifelong friend, Brooke Clifford.
Preceding her in death were her siblings, Jenie Bemis and Bob Boughton.
Beverly was a proud alumna of the University of Idaho, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a Minor in Biology in 1967. Her career was distinguished by her co-founding and ownership of several companies, where she made significant contributions to the hop and horticulture industries. Her innovative spirit led to the creation of groundbreaking products like the hobby greenhouse kit, custom totes, and aerospace shipping containers.
Her passion for life extended beyond her professional achievements. Beverly was a devoted world traveler, having lived in Taiwan and journeyed through numerous countries across Asia, the Caribbean, and Europe. Her vibrant personality shone through in her many hobbies and interests. An avid hiker, biker, and camper, she excelled in water and snow skiing, and even braved flying with her husband. She was also an accomplished seamstress, cook, and gardener, with a love for dancing and baton twirling.
Beverly was deeply involved in her community, volunteering at her children’s school, serving on the School Board, and participating in Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT), her church, and Job's Daughters.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Coeur d'Alene, where she grew up, and where she and Michael began their journey 57 years ago.
Beverly was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who brought boundless joy and energy to everyone she met. Her spirit, warmth, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
