Billy Joe Kuykendall

Billy Joe Kuykendall passed away peacefully surrounded by family February 8, 2024. He was 72.

Bill was born in Fort Bragg, NC and grew up on the East Coast around Maryland.  After he graduated Patterson High School in Baltimore in 1969, he enlisted in the Air Force where he served honorably for 24 years. Although his first marriage to Mary resolved in divorce, his second marriage to Marian went happily for 24 years until her passing. His remarriage to his High School Sweetheart and True Love, Dianna Adamski, sadly ended with Bill's passing.  Bill loved art, dancing, singing, photography, family especially spending time with grandchildren and his ESA’s Star, Banjo and Lily. He loved jokes and playing pranks. He loved to help in the garden and enjoyed nature.

He loved the Air Force and all it stood for.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Dianna Kuykendall, daughter Lelani of Florida, stepchildren James F Thomas of Maryland, Allyson Thomas of Idaho, Lane F Thomas of West Virginia, George A Thomas of Carbondale, Colorado, Naomi VJ Thomas of Idaho, Joy K & Mitch Gibson of Idaho, Marguerite L Thomas of Washington, brothers Ed (Linda) Kuykendall of South Carolina, Robert (Ann) Kuykendall of Virginia, Dallas Kuykendall of Baltimore, 21 Grandchildren, and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Orval and Martha (Lewis) Kuykendall, sister Sue Kuydendall.

A Memorial Service for Bill is scheduled Wednesday February 21 at 10am at Heritage Baptist Church in Post Falls with a private Burial at the VA cemetery in Medical Lake.
