“Not here for a long time… Here for a good time.”

With love and laughter, we celebrate the life of Brent Michael Hersch, 52, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, who left this world too soon on September 26, 2026.

Brent was born on April 18, 1974, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Al and Lillian Hersch. The first two years of Brent’s life were spent on the family farm in Shields, North Dakota. In 1976 he moved with his family to Puyallup, Washington.

Brent’s 12 years of schooling were in the Puyallup School District. While classes were not his thing, his friends and football kept him showing up. He played little league football with the Puyallup Rough Riders for multiple years and was on the Kalles Junior High and Rogers High School football teams. In his adult life, Brent coached high school and youth football. Brent rooted for the UW Huskies, and while he supported the Seattle Seahawks, his heart belonged to the Dallas Cowboys.

Brent’s career included working for the Hersch Flooring Company, a sales representative for Frito Lays, a real estate agent for Windermere, and a sales representative for Stoneway Roofing.

Brent is preceded in death by his parents, Al and Lillian, and his big brother, Craig. Brent is survived by his son, Kyle, and his grandson, Kaden, who are his proudest accomplishments. He is also survived by his siblings; Tonya (Craig), Rodney (Beth), Valerie (Dave), Kevin (Sherri), Vickie, Janelle, Melanie (Chuck), Natalie (Brian), along with 15 nieces and nephews. Additionally, Brent is survived by a loving extended family. He was a proud role model to Jordan and a dear lifelong friend to his childhood buddies: Aaron, Jacob, Jim, Josh, Kelly, Mark, and Tony.

We will always remember your contagious laugh. We miss you more than you know. Rest in peace, Brent.
