Candise Page

Candise Joy Page passed away January 23, 2010 at the Schneidmiller House in Coeur d' Alene, ID.
Candise was an amazing woman. If she could be described in three words: Christian, Mama, Warrior.

Her life started rough; with her brother and sister, she was thrust into foster care. The only saving grace was eventually they all lived with the same family. Unfortunately, this is where the intense abuse began. The siblings survived the system and began their own lives.

Candise had been fighting cancer for nine long years. Sadly this was her final battle. Just two months ago Candise began to notice her left hand just wasn't working right. The cancer had returned, this time a grade four in the internal capsule of the brain, with portions of the tumor extending into the brain stem. At first we thought we had maybe a year. It turned out we were fortunate to have a few months.

Candise brought our family into a relationship with Jesus and our souls were saved. This is the single greatest legacy she left with us.

In 2017, two days before Candise's third brain surgery, we found out Baby Charlie was on his way to us. Against the doctors' suggestion, Candise choose to have Charles and wait until the safest opportunity for the baby, before undergoing the surgery. So during the second trimester Candise underwent her third brain surgery.

In the same spirit of sacrificing any and everything for her children; Candise again chose her baby first. Doctors again wanted Candise to begin chemotherapy as soon as the baby was born. Pediatricians felt in a perfect world Charles should have at least two months of mother's milk to give Charlie the best chance....Candise gave him four months. All of this was a sacrifice she wasn't even aware she was making.  In Candise's mind there could only be one choice, her child before herself, always.

Candise has been the guiding light in our family. She is survived by her husband Travis Page,  she leaves behind her son Daniel, age 11, Her step children whom she embraced for the last eight years, Keidren age 12 and Lachlan age 10. Together we have Lilli age 7 and Charles age 2. Her sister Lorraine Palmer and her brother Donald Palmer.  We will never be the same without her.

A service will be held on February 15, 2020 at 11 am at Real Life Ministries in the upper room, 1860 N Cecil Rd, Post Falls, ID.
