Chelsea Amanda Cazier Griner, 37, of Deer Park, Washington, passed away on February 3, 2026. She was born on November 14, 1988, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and grew up in the Spirit Lake area.
Chelsea is survived by her beloved daughters, Evelyn and Maggie, and their father, Matthew Griner. She is also survived by her loving parents, C. Drake Cazier and Lyn D. Cazier; her devoted step-mother, Carmen Cazier; and her siblings, Tawnya, Rachel, Nicholas, Tadd, Caleb, Hannah, Clancey, Emily, Andrew, Alizabeth, and Alex. She was also a caring aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Chelsea’s endeavors were as varied as her passion for life. She was an accomplished track and cross-country athlete at Timberlake High School and at Boise State University. She worked as an EMT/firefighter at Timberlake Fire and Rescue, a railroad conductor at BNSF Railroad, and most recently as a surgical tech at Northwest Orthopedic Specialists. Her work ethic was unparalleled. She was never afraid to attempt something new, to learn, or to work hard alongside anyone. She could always hold her own, whether in demanding professional roles or doing manual labor beside her brothers.
Above all else, Chelsea was a devoted mother. She intentionally structured her entire life around supporting and loving her daughters. She was a protector, fiercely committed to their well-being. Evelyn and Maggie were the center of her world, and being their mom was her greatest pride and purpose.
Chelsea loved the outdoors and cherished lake days. She enjoyed making art, baking, Harry Potter, and any moment that brought laughter. She had an infectious laugh, an unforgettable smile, a sharp wit, and a presence that made people feel at ease. Those who knew her will remember her strength, her warmth, her determination, and of course her potato rolls.
The world is less beautiful without her in it.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that you plant a peony in Chelsea’s memory.
