Cindy Russell

Cindy May Russell passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, October 14th, 2019, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, at the age of 39.  Despite her time on Earth being short, it was well-lived.  Cindy was born on August 29th, 1980, in Canoga Park, California.  As a young child, Cindy moved with her family from California to Northern Idaho, where she spent most of her life.

Cindy graduated from Lakeland High School in 1998.  She went on to begin college coursework at North Idaho College, Later matriculating to the University of Idaho where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Communication Studies with a concentration in Business Administration and Creative Writing in 2003.  Following graduation, Cindy moved to sunny Edgewater, Florida, with her parents, Danny and Donna Russell, and was hired as a Marketing Coordinator at the Boston Whaler World Headquarters/Brunswick Corporation, also located in Edgewater.

Cindy later returned to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to be with her fiancé, Brian.  She was employed at Liberty Mutual/Safeco Insurance, working as an insurance claims adjuster.  As well as being known for her business acumen, customer service, and organizational and interpersonal communication skills, her vivacious personality, witty sense of humor, and gregariousness made her well-liked among her coworkers and clients.

Along with being popular and respected professionally, she was adored by her family and friends.  Cindy had the ability to walk through at door and instantly light up a room with her charm, addictive laugh, and magnetic personality.  Never was there a social gathering or extracurricular event where she wasn't  requested, or at times, demanded, to attend.  Her fun and calming demeanor made her easily approachable, and seemingly with each passing event, her circle of friends expanded, and those of her closest to her likely provided with a silly and memorable personalized Cindy nickname.

Cindy's life was much like a shooting star—although way too short, spectacular, memorable, and highly impactful to those of us lucky enough to have experienced it.  She would want her passing from this Earth to be viewed as one of sorrow and melancholy, but rather as a time of fun memories, laughter, and togetherness.  To say she will be missed is a vast understatement and she will be remembered always as a joyful, jubilant, passionate and loyal person, family member, and friend.  She is survived by her brother, Shayne Russell, various extending family members, numerous friends, loving fiancé Brian Mueller, and her beloved cat, Dexter.  A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, October 26th, 2019, at 1:00 pm at the English Funeral Chapel 1133 N. 4th St.  in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  All are welcomed to attend.
