Clydene Annette Blocker

Clydene Annette Blocker, 73, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Sept. 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband and sons.

Clyde and Norma Blish brought her into this world on Dec. 5, 1952, in Everett, Washington, where she joined her older siblings, Jim, Doug, Carl, and Gary. Three younger siblings, Daniel, Matthew, and Valerie, followed. The Blish family moved to North Idaho in the early 1970s, where many of the siblings raised their children side by side, sharing celebrations, hardships, laughter, and a deep bond.

Clydene raised her sons, Josh and Nathan, in Spirit Lake. She was a kind and loving mother who matched the boundless energy of two rambunctious boys with patience, strength, and resolve. She taught them to become good men and ensured they stayed the course.

She married the love of her life, Richard, in 1997. Their marriage was filled with companionship, joy, and a devotion that deepened with time. They settled into their forever home in Post Falls.

Clydene played many instruments and sang beautifully. She embraced natural living and was an artist, animal lover, and lightworker. Her sense of humor brought warmth to the world around her.

She was a beloved librarian for more than 35 years. She enriched the lives of those who knew her and was deeply loved in return.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; her sons, Josh and Nathan; her siblings, Jim, Doug, Matt, and Valerie; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She will be missed.

Her funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church near Spirit Lake on Sept. 26 at 11 a.m. All are welcome.
