Connie Goodwin, 61

Longtime resident of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Connie Goodwin, passed away suddenly on June 11, 2019. Connie was born Jan. 21, 1958, in Glasgow, Mont., to Bill and Tina Marks. Connie was the fourth of eight children. She grew up and attended schools in Montana., and moved to Coeur d’Alene in the early 1980s. Connie worked in the insurance business for more than 20 years.

Connie is survived by her husband of almost 22 years, Doug Goodwin; stepson, Nathan Goodwin and his wife, Kristie and their son, Nova, of Virginia; grandsons, Hendrick and Riott of Albuquerque, N.M.; step-daughter, AnnaBeth Goodwin and her son, Noah of Virginia; brothers, Ernie (and Cindy) Marks of Idaho, Pat Marks of Idaho, Bill (and Pam) Marks of Montana and Chris (and Joy) Marks of Illinois; sisters, Betsy (and Leon) Quaring of Idaho, Cheryl (and Neil) Bruce of Idaho and Carrol Robbins of Montana; brother-in-law, Charlie (and Melanie) Goodwin of Alaska; numerous nieces and nephews; her little dogs, Chico and Twiggy, and her work family, all the great folks at Landers Insurance.

Doug would also like to thank all his extended family at Kootenai County, especially the great folks at Solid Waste for all their support at this difficult time.

A service for Connie will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at English Funeral Chapel, in Coeur d’Alene. A small gathering will be held at the chapel after the service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to a charity of your choice. Some of Connie’s favorite charities were the Kootenai Humane Society and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Connie will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
