Cordelia "Rosalie" Pfennig

Cordelia Rosalie Pfennig passed away peacefully on the evening of December 8th 2019 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Rosalie  was born in Prescott,Arizona on April 9th 1939. As a child she moved to Burke Idaho and later graduated from Wallace high school. Shortly thereafter she met and married the love of her life Dalton Pfennig. They had four children and celebrated life together for an amazing 50 years of marriage until Dalton passed in 2009. Rosalie loved gardening and had quite a green thumb. She was also very talented in the culinary arts and loved to bake and cook meals for family and friends especially around the holidays. She was an absolute selfless soul and when Dalton was left paralyzed  following a construction accident in 1975, she held the family together and led them to triumph over tragedy. She was the most patient, kind, selfless, compassionate, loving, and resolute person anyone would ever have the privilege to know and definitely the rock of the family. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Plummer,  brothers Tom Cleveland, and Jack Cleveland. She is Survived by her brother Bob Cleveland and wife Carol, sister Joy Trower and husband Dave, son  Michael Pfennig and wife Lou, daughter Pamela Phelps and husband Robert, daughter Tammy Lange, son Charles Pfennig and wife Pam. She was blessed with nine wonderful grandchildren and eight great grandchildren with another on the way that she absolutely cherished. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be scheduled for this coming spring at Christ the King Lutheran church in Coeur d' Alene.
