Dan Usdrowski (December 17, 1976 - November 8, 2025), 48, of Harrison, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, surrounded by the family he cherished beyond measure.

Born in Coeur d'Alene at Kootenai Memorial Hospital, Dan grew up in the Kootenai School District as the baby of six siblings the youngest who somehow ended up leading the pack. He graduated as Valedictorian of Kootenai High School in 1995. A tremendous athlete, he set the school record in the 300-meter hurdles a mark that stood for years before eventually being broken. He earned a Civil Engineering degree from Gonzaga University, where his sharp mind and relentless work ethic first shone.

Dan's life was defined by laughter, service, love, and an unbreakable spirit.

He was President of the Ducks Unlimited Silver Valley Chapter, donating countless hours to preserve wetlands and serve others. Whether setting decoys at dawn or organizing banquets, Dan made every volunteer and every hunter feel like family.

He never met a stranger.
A flat tire on the highway? Dan stopped.
A boat that wouldn't start? Dan fixed it.
Dan could fix anything.
A neighbor in need? Dan was already there tools in hand, smile wide.
But Dan's greatest legacy was his family and the way he lived.

He wanted to be remembered for never missing a good time, for being the man who loved life and cherished every moment with friends and family. Whether it was a backyard barbecue, a late-night bonfire, music night on the deck, a duck blind at sunrise, or a spontaneous road trip, Dan was there laughing loudest, staying the latest, telling the best stories, and making sure no one felt left out.

A masterful multitasker, Dan worked from his phone or laptop in the car on the way to and from so he could be at Travis's countless baseball games. He loved watching Travis play and rarely missed a single one, no matter how full the schedule.

His home began in third grade, behind the mobiles at recess, where he kissed Tori for the first time and began writing her love letters. For 29 years, those letters never stopped: from playground promises to wedding vows to voicemail messages.

Together, Dan and Tori raised three remarkable sons, Triston, Jarrett, and Travis, teaching them patience, love, respect in the blind, and joy on every family road trip. Dan was at every game, every late-night talk, and cheering louder than anyone in the stands.

But the deepest lessons happened in the shop, where shop talks with his boys solved many of the world's problems. Amid sawdust and engine grease, Dan listened, advised, laughed, and shaped three young men into the best versions of themselves.

Dan rarely had a bad day; he made good ones.
His laugh filled every room he was in, his stories warmed winter nights, and his heart held everyone he met.

Dan is survived by his wife Tori; sons Triston, Jarrett, and Travis; mother Valerie, siblings; friends; and a community forever changed by his kindness.

Dan didn't just live, he celebrated. And every gathering, every sunset, every shared laugh is better because he was in it.
