Danna Lee Jackson Shaeffer

September 2, 1936-July 4, 2022

Danna went to be with the Lord July 4th, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Danna was born In Tulare California to Camille and Dan Jackson. She was raised by her mother on her grandparent’s turkey ranch. She was an only child as she lost her father to tuberculosis. She attended a small country school in Tulare, Ca and graduated from Tulare High School. Danna was an accomplished piano player and she used the same piano that her mom had used her entire life. Her family loved hearing her play because they knew it brought her joy. Most of the music she played was songs that worshipped the God she loved. Her life was one of service to her family, the church, women’s prison ministry, homeless ministry and her job as a social worker for the Stanislaus County.

Danna lost her loving husband Leon in a tragic plane accident in 2017. She missed him dearly. She also was preceded in death by her oldest daughter Susan who lost a battle with cancer as well as her parents and grandparents. Danna loved her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Carol Planchon and son in law Andre Planchon, son Brian Nelson, daughter Susie Shaeffer,  son Rob Shaeffer and daughter in law Dawn Shaeffer, daughter Debbie Flewelling and son in law Keith Flewelling, , daughter Beverly Liddle and son in law Doug Liddle,. Danna was a humble servant of Jesus and I know He will say “Well done good and faithful servant” when entering into His presence!
