Darlene Rae Mendy

Darlene was born to Marvel Murray & Benjamin Gilman on November 6, 1941. Darlene passed away June 5th, 2026 at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Cda Idaho.

Darlene loved her family but mostly her many grandchildren. Darlene married the love of her life, Reuben Mendy on February 29th, 1960. They resided in Shoshone County Idaho most of their lives and raised their children. Darlene worked at local hospitals as a house keeper. Darlene loved crocheting & making things. She loved spending time with her family.

Darlene is survived by her children Wade Mendy (Mahalla) of Kellogg, Don Mendy (Angie) and Timothy Mendy both of Osburn, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Her sisters Jesse (Gay) Gilman Stout & Ramona Gilman Mendy (Harold) both of Kellogg, her brothers Gilbert (Glen) Gilman (Vicky) of Pinehurst and Walter (Walt) Gilman of Montana. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Darlene is proceeded in death by her husband, Reuben, her parents, her son Jimmy Mendy and her daughters Brenda and Lisa Mendy. Her sisters Charlene Gilman Barker and her brothers Benjamin Herbert Gilman (Herb), Robert Gilman (Bob), Rick Gilman, Larry Gilman and Ronnie Gilman.
