Darlene Pollard, age 90, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away peacefully at home on December 13, 2025.

Darlene was born on August 7, 1935, in Kellogg, Idaho, to Joseph Paul and Lillian Sylvia (Jutila/Paul). She was raised in North Idaho, where she built the foundation of a life centered on faith, family, and love.

On March 20, 1950, Darlene married the love of her life, Delmer Pollard, with whom she shared a devoted marriage and a beautiful family. Together they raised nine children, and Darlene dedicated her life to being a homemaker, pouring her heart into her home and those she loved.

Darlene was kind, genuine, loving, gentle, and funny, with a heart that welcomed everyone. She found joy in gardening, cooking, yard sales, and thrifting, and she especially cherished time spent with her family. Her faith was central to her life—she deeply loved her Lord and Savior and her church family, which brought her great comfort and purpose.

She is survived by her children: Judy Hindberg of Athol, Carolyn Moss of Rathdrum, Angie Gallup of Athol, Dale (Allen) Pollard of Kellogg, Terry Pollard of Kingston, Kevin (Wayne) Pollard of Kingston, and Arley Pollard of Rathdrum; her sister Bonnie Huff of Kellogg, Idaho; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were deeply loved.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Delmer Pollard; her parents Joseph Paul and Lillian Paul; and her children Nancy Lee McAlister, Michael Owen Pollard, and Robert Scott Pollard.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Rathdrum Bible Church, 15127 Stevens St., Rathdrum, Idaho. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 PM at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls, Idaho.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”— Matthew 11:28–30

Darlene’s legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
