David Seat

David (Dave) Vernon Seat (73) of Hauser Lake Idaho, passed away peacefully on January 13th, 2021. David took his last breath with his beloved wife Linda by his side in Spokane Valley, WA.

Born on August 5th, 1947 in Port Angeles, WA, to parents Helen and Vernon, David spent his early childhood in Forks, WA before the family moved to Everett, WA in 1958. There he attended Everett High School (class of ’65), where he first met Linda Lefebvre. The two were married on December 11, 1971, and together raised a son and two daughters. As a family, they enjoyed camping and fishing, including many memorable years at their vacation getaway at Lake Conner Park. Their home was the place of many large gatherings and celebrations with extended family and friends.

Dave spent time as a volunteer firefighter for Snohomish County and worked as a mechanic for the Boeing Company for 17 years, before retiring in 2004. Soon thereafter Dave and Linda relocated to Hauser Lake, Idaho, where his fishing hobby took him all over the Inland NW, including regular Thursday excursions with his good friend Loren. In addition to fishing, Dave also enjoyed cooking, baking, and woodworking. He was a meticulous craftsman who took great care of his equipment and reveled in the joy that his handmade toys, yard art, and home accessories would bring his loved ones.

Dave was a man dedicated to the family that adored him and he will be greatly missed. Surviving family includes wife Linda, son Bill, daughters Buffy Deno (Damen) and Kori Payne (Tom); grandchildren Amanda, Ashley, Lindzey, Jeremy and Curtis; sisters Debbie and Jan, brothers Keith and Dan; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Brad and Lynn.

The family will hold a private celebration of life at their home on January 30th at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers or cards, please consider a donation to your local Meals on Wheels or to Meals on Wheels America. Visit www.mealsonwheelsamerica.org to learn more.
