DeeAnn Crawford

DeeAnn Crawford passed away comfortably in her home on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Born in Twin Falls, Idaho on September 14, 1945, to Glen “Bud” and Phyllis, she was one of seven children in the Bessire family.

DeeAnn’s early childhood consisted of numerous moves and starting new schools throughout the Pacific Northwest. At fourteen, while living in Vantage, Washington, she met the one and only love of her life, Monty Crawford. They married June 1963 in Ellensburg, WA and continued to relocate for construction projects throughout the western states.

Their daughter, Holli Dee, was born in Oroville, CA and son, Monty Tod, was born in Sandpoint, Idaho. In 1969, DeeAnn and Monty decided their young family needed to put down roots and moved to beautiful Coeur d’ Alene where they have lived since. DeeAnn was very involved in Coeur D’Alene Bible Church and Christian Woman’s Groups.

She worked at various retail shops along Sherman Avenue over the years. For many years she professionally hung wallpaper in businesses and homes. She had a keen eye for home decorating, helping her clients make their houses into a home. She had sparkly blue eyes and a kind smile that warmed the hearts of the many friends she made over the years. She is greeted in heaven by her parents, two brothers and their wives (Duane/Carol and MB/Sheila), sister and husband (Sadie/Glenn), sister-in-law (Wynne), mother and father-in-law (Sam/Lucille), and a grandson (Daniel).

She will be missed by her beloved husband of almost 60 years, Monty, daughter Holli and Drew in San Diego, CA and son, Tod and Staci in St. Maries, ID. She has four grandchildren, Sara, Megan, Hailey and Kade. Missing her too, Munchkin, her faithful dog, who remained at her side until her passing. Family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Hayden Lake Humane Society.

No service is planned at this time.
