Debbie Sue Lohrey

Debbie Sue Eskridge Lohrey was born January 23rd, 1957. She passed away from Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma on 3/31/2023 at 11:11am. She is survived by her two children, Christian Lohrey and Sarah Lohrey, and will be welcoming her first granddaughter this June. She was loved by many friends and her ex-husband Steve. 

Debbie was a loving mother and loyal friend. She was caring toward everyone she met, but she had a fire to her as well. I remember telling her, “Mom, you’re spicy!” because despite her sweet persona and kind soul, she fought for what she wanted and who she loved. 

Debbie was an adventurous soul and this part of her lives on through her children. When the kids were young, she would throw them in the car on the weekends for one of “Mom’s Adventures”. Most of the time it was to some outdoor, scenic destination filled with natural beauty. Sometimes, it was a day at the amusement park. Other times, she and the kids would get totally lost all together, throw in the towel and call it a day before a destination was ever reached. Although with Debbie, it was more about the journey rather than the destination.

She enjoyed traveling, kayaking, white water rafting and visiting hot springs. She enjoyed many of her adventures with various friends and was always open to new friends and new experiences. 

Debbie had unwavering faith. Throughout her last months battling cancer, she had no fear and was certain everything happening was all part of God’s great work. While she may not have gotten to enjoy retirement on this earthly plain, Debbie most certainly is enjoying her time in Heaven. 

She will always be remembered and her spirit will live on through her many friends and family. May she rest peacefully and gracefully with the outpouring of love she provided to so many.

We love you Debbie and you are greatly missed.
