She attended nursing school at Los Angeles General Hospital.
Dee married her sweetheart Roy H Steinberg, Jr. on January 20, 1957 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were married for thirty years before his passing in December 1987. Having established their life in San Diego, Dee continued to live there with family until her move to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in 2014. She was a faithful lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy, her parents Leland and Sylvia, and her brother Ron.

Dee will be remembered for her bright smile, her abundant laughs, her love for her family, the joy she received from her grandkids, the quilts she made for her family, the many “I buy, you fly” ice cream runs, her love for playing card games, and enjoying a good meal with family and friends.
