Dennis M. Purdy

Dennis Michael Purdy was born July 2, 1952 in Coeur d'Alene to Donald and Martha Purdy, joining siblings Don and Janice.  He was the 3rd of 4 children born into the family. Dennis attended St. Thomas grade school and IHM high school where he played basketball and football and was given the nickname "Toe"  by Coach Gene Boyle. Dennis worked for Runge Furniture and Great Floors as a carpet layer. He enjoyed belonging to the Bud Bunch, fishing with his friends and woodcarving. One of his favorite things to do was to watch Rawhide and Gunsmoke. He also enjoyed spending time at the family cabin in Beauty Bay where he learned to be an expert slalom skier, enjoyed sailing in his Sunfish sailboat and cruising in his 1966 Century mahogany boat.

He was preceded in death by his mother, and father and best friend, Tim Waters. He is survived by brother Don and sisters Janice and Susan.

Service will be held Monday, November 28, 1:00 pm at English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene with a reception to follow at the chapel.
