Dennis V. Wolfe 74, Hayden, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 21, 2025, due to heart problems. He was born in Linton, North Dakota on September 17th in 1950 to Vincent and Isabella Wolfe.
He attended school in Kellogg and Coeur d’Alene, ID. He joined the army in 1967. He was stationed in Germany where he received training to be a crew chief on helicopters. Then onto Vietnam. He received many medals while serving his country in Vietnam.
He married Teresa Roach on September 7, 1970. They were 3 weeks away from celebrating their 55th wedding Anniversary when Dennis passed.
He made friends easily and was always willing to help. His friends will miss him so much. He played good natured pranks on friends and coworkers. He loved anything with wheels, cars, side by sides and motorcycles. He loved to travel, his favorite spot being Kona, Big Island of Hawaii. Hobbies were boating, four wheeling fishing, golfing, camping, playing poker and going to the casino. He was always coming up with ideas and adventures that followed him his whole life.
He worked for Coeur d’Alene school district for 30 years and also at Boise Cascade, Potlatch, Cablevision. Dennis was a gifted carpenter who could build anything with no plans but his own ideas. He did not complain about health but lived life to the fullest. His two favorite sayings when asked how he was doing were “Just another holiday” or “Just another day in paradise.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Cynthia Green, Son-in-law Greg McCarty.
He is survived by wife Teresa, dog Betty, son Jason Wolfe Dillon, Colorado. Granddaughter Rebekah Wolfe. Daughter Jill McCarty Tualatin, Oregon, Grandson Quinn McCarty Tualatin, Oregon, Grandson Quinn McCarty Tualatin, Oregon, Cynthia’s sons Greg and Derrick Green, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Scott and Rene Roach and sons Josh and Torey Roach.
Dennis was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was very proud of his three grandsons who will go on to be his legacy.
Dennis, Teresa, Jills family and good friends has just been on a trip to the Oregon coast and are so grateful to have had this time together before Dennis’s passing.
Teresa wishes to thank her family, good friends and neighbors for all they have done.
A celebration of life is to be held at a later date.
