Donna May Pitts

Our beloved Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, and Sister, Donna May Pitts was born to William and Evelyn Green on May 13, 1933, in Davenport, Washington, and spent her life living in the Spokane/ Coeur d’ Alene area.

Donna was endlessly positive and never had an unkind word to say. She was the sweetest and kindest person in the world. Her cheery smile and loving demeanor warmed the hearts of everyone around her. She was and will always be a bright shining light in our lives.

Donna’s favorite past times were spending time with family, traveling to Montana, Mexico and Hawaii with her family, and passing the day sitting and talking on the patio with friends. She loved holidays and playing pinochle with her daughter, son-in-law and grandkids.

She loved the outdoors, flowers, Hawaii, sunshine and snow! She would laugh and giggle with her great-grandkids and always made everyone feel special and loved.

She was survived by her brother Lonnie, her children: Ronnell Thorp (Joe), Lynnette Farup (Denny), Larry Pitts (Alane Andreozzi), Mike Harrington (Carol) and (Herb Greenburg); nine grandchildren: Rondi Thorp (Dave), Jodi Thorp (Trip), Tim Thorp (Shasta), Sam Neil, Kurt Neil (Jamie), Kourtney Woodbury, Eli Robertson, Courey Pitts, and Brandon Harrington) and eighteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Evelyn Green, of Spokane, her brother Raymond, her husband Philip, her daughter Margaret and her dear Dachshund Callie May.

She passed peacefully in her sleep, on April 17, 2023, surrounded by family who love her dearly and will miss her forever.
