Passed away peacefully in her home in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, on August 5, 2021. Surrounded by her loving family.

Doris was born in Hanna, Wyoming, on June 19, 1935, to Clarence and Vera Purcell. She married her high school sweetheart, George Wells in Bigfork, Montana, on March 17, 1953. She is survived by her husband George Wells and 3 children: Wanda Eixenberger, Gary and wife Debi Wells, Rita and Husband Dave Rettig, 8 grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Jean Hansen, Myrna Norlander, and 2 sister-in-laws Lynn Purcell and Aleatha Wells. She was proceeded in death by her parents and 2 brothers Ralph and Cliff Purcell.

Her family was her greatest passion. She loved to take pictures and videos of all of them. She was always the one on the other side of the camera. She enjoyed camping with her family, dancing with George, and bowling with her friends. She loved animals, having several pet cows as a child and cats and dogs. After raising her family she went back to school to become a hairdresser. George and her owned several salons in the Spokane Valley.

George and Doris always dreamed of building a home, they achieved that dream and built a beautiful home in Post Falls. She loved to travel they took several trips to Alaska, Hawaii, back east to New York, Washington DC., and parts of the south. Several cruises, one through the Panama Canal. She had a long and beautiful life.

Celebration of Life will be held at English Funeral Chapel 1133 N. 4th St. Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. On August 21, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. a potluck will follow.
