Dorothy Leming
My beloved mother, Dorothy Leming of Coeur d’Alene passed away peacefully on April 23rd.
She was born in Windsor, Wisconsin on December 20, 1930 to Hannah and Loren Johnson. Her siblings were Robert, Lorraine, Arlene, Joyce, Emilie and Ronnie.
Dorothy married Richard Leming June 10, 1950. They were blessed with three children: Jill in 1952, Barbara in 1954 and Robert in 1959.
Dorothy’s husband had a career in the Air Force and the family lived all around the USA and various parts of Europe. Dorothy was a homemaker and part time college student. At age 50 she graduated from the University of Minnesota.
Dorothy had a variety of interest gardening especially roses, reading, painting, Bible study, assisting in church functions and spending time with her family.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Richard and children Barbara and Robert Leming as well as both parents and all but two of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter Jill Mikael (Hayden).
Dorothy’s memorial service will be held Thursday April 26th at the Lutheran Church of the Master at 4:00. A reception will follow at the church.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the Renaissance Assistive Living for their kind, loving and generous support of Dorothy during her stay there.
