Eddie, born 08/10/1961 (63), passed away of natural causes from COPD on 07/18/25 in his home in Rathdrum, Idaho. He was born in Lewiston Idaho to Lynn O. Aus and Mary K Christensen-Ross.
Eddie grew up in Lewiston Idaho and was raised by Lynn & Wanda (Adams) Aus where he Graduated from LHS Class of “79”. After High School, Eddie joined the Army, where he married Lavella Hoover in 1981. Working his way up to an E5, he received an overseas ribbon for his tour in Panama, along with an Army achievement medal, NCO Professional Development ribbon, and a Good Conduct Medal. He received his expert badges with M-16 Rifle, Hand & 40MM Grenade, as well as M60 Light Machine Gun and .38 Caliber Pistol.
Once out of the service he made his home in Kent WA working for Boeing and became an expert in his personal life in tournaments & leagues for Foosball, Pool, Darts, Archery & Golf and skeet shooting. He had a love of Harley Davidson motorcycles and flying huge beach kites in the sand. He also loved to work at the Puyallup Fair on “The Clean Team” doing this for 8+ years with them calling him back each year. He was well known for the big kid’s attitude and the kind heart he had.
After his divorce in 1995, he moved around a little but finally planted his feet in Rathdrum to be close to his father and his father’s new wife Darlene Singer-Aus in 2012. Ed never had children but showed his love and spoiled all his nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lynn & Wanda Aus (St Maries Idaho), Mary Christensen-Ross of Old Town Idaho and his sister Debi Ross of Post Falls, Idaho.
Eddie is survived by Siblings Craig (Adriana) Aus, Valhalla (Dan) Thomas, Doug (Leigh) Ross, Dan Ross & Diana (Joe) Cantrell
Nephew’s Daniel, Michael, and Tyson Thomas. Leroy and Nathan Ross. Matthew and Joey Cantrell. Nieces Tiffanie Wilkenson, Mariah Thomas, Ashlie Weddle, Brandee Feldman, Jennifer, Bobby-Joe & Leslie Ross, as well as numerous great nieces & nephews.
Cremation services performed by English Funeral home of Post Falls, Gravesite services will be held at Potlatch Cemetery in Potlatch Idaho officiated by Pastor Bob Lambert on September 27, 2025, 1 pm. There will be a celebration potluck gathering at the Potlatch Depot building at 125 6th Street Potlatch Idaho to follow Gravesite services.
