Edith Lambert

Edith Adell (Barker) Lambert, Age 89, of Coeur d’Alene, ID, formerly a long time resident of Delta, CO, passed away at Ivy Court nursing home in Coeur d’Alene, ID, on November 5th, 2019.

Edith was born on January 24, 1930 in Littlefield, TX, to Robert and Minta Barker. She grew up in Littlefield, TX, where she married the love of her life, Joe Ed Lambert in 1946. They eventually moved to Delta, CO, where they raised their five children; Linda, Jerry, Janice, Marla, and Eddie.

Edith was a dedicated and loving mother. She was very proud of her family and would light up in the company of her five children, 12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edith was known for her feisty, yet good-natured sense of humor. She was an active member of the United Church of God. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, fishing, or working on a challenging puzzle. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Edith is survived by her sister, Mary Hewitt of Forney, TX, Daughter Linda Nelson of Delta, CO, Son Jerry Lambert of Coeur d’Alene, ID, and Daughter Janice Day of Coeur d’Alene, ID.

She is preceded in death her Husband, Joe Lambert, Brother, Bobby Barker, Daughter , Marla Plotner, and Son Eddie Lambert.

Family and friends will gather at the English Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 1133 N 4th Street, Coeur d’Alene, ID, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 15th, 2019. Reception to follow.
