Elvina Doyle

Elvina Agnes Doyle, 92, of Athol passed away January 20, 2020 at Orchard Ridge Memory Care Facility in Coeur d’Alene. She was born in Plentywood, Montana on June 9, 1927 to Fred and Violet (Bain) Frasier. They moved to Careywood, Idaho where she attended her early years of school. When WWII broke out they moved to Portland, Oregon where she attended Roosevelt High School while her dad worked in the shipyards. After the war, Elvina and her family moved to Hayden Lake, Idaho where she met and married James (Jim) Doyle on May 10, 1946 in Superior, Montana. In 1953, while living in Troy, Montana, Elvina and Jim started square dancing. In 1958, they moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho where they joined the Coeurly Q's Square Dance Club. Elvina and Jim enjoyed many years of dancing. They formed lifelong friendships dancing whenever and wherever they could. Elvina and Jim traveled annually to Ninilchik, Alaska where she volunteered at the Senior Center with Jim. When not volunteering, she enjoyed fishing and being outside. When at home she enjoyed Gonzaga basketball, working in her yard, and fishing. She is survived by her extended family, Don and Kelly Brown of Athol; Justine (Ryan and soon to be baby, Asher) Litzko of Rathdrum; Ryan (Katie) Brown of Rathdrum, and numerous nieces and nephews. At Elvina's request, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Elvina's name to Hospice of North Idaho, 2290 W. Prairie Ave., Coeur d' Alene, ID 83815. The family would like to express their appreciation to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Orchard Ridge Memory Care Facility, Hospice, and all her wonderful friends.
