FLOYD EDWARD BEST

NOVEMBER 9, 1927 - SEPTEMBER 13, 2O2O

Floyd was the son of Hazel and Ronald Best. He passed peacefully at home on September 13, 2020. Floyd was born and raised in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and continued to live in the Coeur d'Alene area all of his 92 years.

Floyd was happily married to Joan Best for 59 years. She preceded him in death in 2012. Floyd is survived by his sister Lois Stanea, his daughter Glenda Bagby (husband Drew Bagby) his son Dwayne Best, 5 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.

At age 18 Floyd was drafted into the Army as a Heavy Equipment Operator. When he returned home he went back to graduate from Coeur d'Alene High School which was also where he met Joan, later to become his wife. He continued running heavy equipment and building houses.

Floyd belonged to the local rifle club for which he became an excellent Marksman

and was named Idaho State Champion Target Shooter 3 years in a row. Floyd enjoyed playing Golf with his longtime friends. He also enjoyed water skiing and playing baseball.

Floyd's pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. He was very proud of each and every one of them.

Floyd was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be so missed.

Due to the Covid Virus, there will be a viewing and a graveside service only.

The viewing will be held on Monday, Sept. 21st from 2 pm – 6 pm at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N Spokane St. Post Falls, ID.

The Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, Sept 22nd at 11:00 am at Riverview Cemetery, 1065 North Lincoln Way, Coeur d’Alene, ID.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date
