Freddie D. Cecil

Freddie Dean Cecil, 84, of Rathdrum, Idaho, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 8, 2022. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by all of his loved ones and family members.

Freddie was preceded in death by his father, Albert Cecil, his mother, Drusilla Cecil, his brother, Wesley Cecil and his son, Freddie Jr. Cecil.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Peggy Cecil. His three children Drue Cecil, Liz Cecil, and Sid Cecil (Karen). He is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Will Ludwig (Audri), Heather Jezek (Dusty), Wyatt Cecil, Cody Deblauw (Rachel), Amanda Cecil-Yracheta, Freddie Cecil (Carli) and Connor Cecil and his 10 great-grandchildren.

If you knew Fred, you loved him. He touched the lives of so many people through his service to our country in the U.S. Navy and his 25 years of volunteer service in the Kootenai County sheriff’s posse and search and rescue here in North Idaho. We welcome you to join us at his celebration of life.

The service will be held on Sept. 3, 2022, at 1 p.m. at: Kootenai Sheriff Volunteer Search and Rescue, 10865 N. Ramsey Road, Hayden, ID 83835
