Garey Lee Morrison

March 6, 1951 — March 22, 2026

Garey Morrison, a lifelong Idahoan and Navy Torpedo Man, passed away in the state where he was born and raised. In his early life, he worked the deep silver veins of the Sunshine and Bunker Hill mines, where he trained to become a journeyman electrician. A firm believer in democracy and the American Dream, Garey lived life at his own pace, rooted in his convictions and the quiet beauty of Idaho, where he spent his best days fishing the rivers and hunting the woods.

While he didn’t seek to leave a grand monument, he stayed true to his strong beliefs and the family he loved. Garey is survived by his wife, Donna; his children, Jeremiah and Melissa; and his grandchildren, Aidan and James.

He will be remembered in every restless wind through the pines, in every river that runs cold and wild—where the land itself seems to carry his spirit forward, unyielding and free.
