Gary Taylor Mather

April 10, 1934 – Dec. 4, 2019

Gary Taylor Mather was born to John and Jean Mather, in Boise, Idaho, on April 10, 1934.

Gary loved fly fishing, camping and being outdoors. Gary was in the Marine Corps from 1952 to 1955. He served in Korea and North Africa. He was also a member of the Marine Corps League in Coeur d’Alene.

He was a volunteer firefighter with Kootenai County Fire and Rescue for 12 years.

Gary is survived by his wife of 61 years, Caroline Mather; sons Michael Mather and Mark Mather; sister-in-law, Jean Mather; grandchildren Christopher Mather, Danielle Mather Fowler and Jessica Mather. Gary was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother.

There will be a private memorial service held in 2020.
