Gus was born on February 17, 1940, and raised in Kellogg, Idaho. Gus graduated from the University of Idaho and moved back to Coeur d’Alene after residing in Arizona for several years.
Gus was a teacher for many years and then he worked in sales.
Gus’s loved sports of all kinds. He enjoyed going to several super bowls and liked to go watch spring training in Arizona when he lived there.
Gus is survived by his wife Alice Gustafson, his sons Greg and Ross Gustafson, his stepdaughters Keri Mitchell, Lisa Nyquist (Mike), Shelly Mitchell, Grandchildren Maegan, Ashley, Chad, Nick, Bryce, Brianna, Mitchell, Tucker and 7 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Evon and Alice Gustafson and Grandson Tyus Gustafson.
No services are to be held at Gus’s request.
