Harold (Mark) Eugene Markiewicz

Born November 1, 1938, in Chicago Illinois to Frank and Josephine Markiewicz.

He is survived by his wife, Christian of almost 60 years. His daughter, Peggie and husband Kendel and their children Jarrett, Sarah, Cody and Jessie. His son Craig and wife Donna and their sons, Zachary and Joshua. His brother Frank Jr, sisters Maryanne, Theresa and younger sister, Gloria Marh was raised in Chicago but was a farm boy in heart. His time at his uncle Ben Virnigs farm in Wisconsin was the favorite times of his young life.

Mark joined the Air Force at a time when the Army was drafting individuals for service. He was crew chief for airplanes till an injury caused a change in duty where he worked in flight analysis. He spent time overseas and served in Vietnam, finally retiring April 1, 1979. He then went to school for parts/service in the auto industry, retiring in late 1990.

He followed that volunteering in the American Legion Honor Guard honoring other fellow veterans and service members like himself.

He made a great deal of friends that became family, strangers that became friends. No one stayed a strange with him, Ther is no one like him, he drew people to him, his smile and his laugh.

He will be missed greatly by his family, all of his friends, coworkers, legion members, honor guard members and everyday people he met.
