Jan Lazarewicz

Jan Lazarewicz age 91 of Post Falls Idaho peacefully left this life on the early morning of Sept 22 to join his loving Savior. He was born in Poland in the town of Nowe Miasto and due to the occupation in his childhood found himself and his parents and siblings in France. 

Post war the family made new lives and came to America. Jan joined the US army and shortly after became a US citizen. Upon leaving the service, he eventually found himself in Chicago IL. While there he worked at Zenith Radio, Robert Hall Clothing, and as a diesel mechanic. At that time, he met his wife of 62 years Stella. They had two children while in Cook County, Natalie and Steve. As chance would have it his father Alfons was hired as a state of Montana veterinarian/ biologist. A trip to see his dad in Montana gave him the desire to raise his family there. He worked In Missoula at Van's appliance and quickly turned his technical skill into a trade. After the birth of his son John, they moved a few years later to Columbia falls Montana on a ten-acre parcel. Over time he labored to build a house and work for his family. 

He and Stella had two more sons Alfons and James. Initially working for Bud Block appliance repair, he began his own business as Jan's appliance. Running his own business with his wife and children, he built a reputation of dependability, integrity, and making people's lives better. 

He Joined Knights of Columbus. He was an avid singer as a hobby and many parishioners of the churches he attended enjoyed his bold voice and mesmerizing solos when he was part of choir. 

At the start of retirement Jan and Stella began a new chapter by moving to Post Falls Idaho. For more than twenty years they enjoyed making travels and keeping the company of family and friends. He was also a member of the American Legion Honor Guard. 

Jan is preceded in death by his beloved son Alfons as well as his sisters Lucy and Eva. His light in this life will be greatly missed. 'Do naszego ponownego spotkania' "Until we meet again"
